Wardrobe (Almirah) Buying Guide
Two-door or three-pallah? How to size a wardrobe for your bedroom and choose the storage layout you actually need.
Two-door or three-pallah (three-door)?
A two-door almirah suits one or two people sharing a smaller bedroom. A three-pallah (three-door) almirah gives more hanging space and shelving, and suits a family bedroom or a couple who keep more clothing. Measure your bedroom wall before choosing. A two-door almirah is typically around 1.2m wide; a three-pallah model is closer to 1.8m.
What's inside matters more than the door count
Look for a mix of long hanging space, folded-clothing shelves, and at least one drawer for smaller items. A full-length mirror on one door is a common and useful addition if your bedroom doesn't already have one.
Finish and material
Mahogany and other wood-tone finishes (Almirah) are the most common choice and match easily with a Bed and Dressing Table & Stool from the same bedroom set. If humidity is a concern in your area, ask about the board type used inside the cabinet.
Buying as part of a set
An almirah bought inside a Bedroom Sets bundle is usually finished to match the bed and dressing table, and costs less than buying each piece separately later.
Placement tips
Leave at least 900mm in front of the almirah so both doors can open fully. If the room is narrow, consider a three-pallah model with a mix of swing and sliding doors to save floor space.
